Colmon Elridge was elected to a four-year term as chairman in November 2020 after being nominated by Gov. Andy Beshear(D). Elridge's professional experience includes special advisor to Gov. Steve Beshearand the government relations director for the Kentucky Education Association.

Jan 26, 2024 · Morgan Eaves, a former member of Gov. Andy Beshear’s administration, will become the executive director of the Kentucky Democratic Party next week. Eaves will replace current Executive Director Sebastian Kitchen effective Feb. 1, a party press release said.
