It lies approximately a mile east of the neighbouring suburb of Parkhead , and just north of Braidfauld and south of Shettleston .

Tollcross Children's Farm and Courtyard are located at the Wellshot road entrance to Tollcross Park. The Courtyard, which dates back to the 19th century, was restored in the late 1990's with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Scotland.
