The first high school in Beavercreek Township was built in 1888 at the southwest corner of Factory Road and Dayton-Xenia Road, the present site of Ritters Frozen Custard. Recognized as the second high school in the state of Ohio, the initial enrollment was 20 pupils.
In 1887 the need for a Beavercreek high school was readily apparent and in 1888 a large new brick school was completed on the southwest corner of Factory Road and Dayton-Xenia Road. It was recognized as being only the second high school in the state.
The high school campus consists of Ferguson Hall, a free-standing building that houses the ninth grade, and the high school which accommodates the remaining grades 10–12. The principal is Dale Wren for the 2020-2021 school year and the school's mascot is the Battling Beaver.
Completed in 1954, the present Beavercreek High School was built adjacently upon 33 acres of Ferguson land that was purchased by the Board of Education and the Ferguson Hall Campus behind sits on another sixteen acres that was donated by brother and sister Edwin and Lida Ferguson.
