A new book releasing in February features rare photographs of The Beatles clicked by Emmy award-winning producer-director Paul Saltzman.
In February 1968, the English rock band the Beatles travelled to Rishikesh in northern India to take part in a Transcendental Meditation (TM) training course at the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The visit followed the Beatles' denunciation of drugs in favour of TM [1] and received widespread media attention.

Saltzman’s photographs at the ashram have subsequently been displayed in galleries worldwide and published in two books. Mira Nair began work on a documentary film about the Beatles’ visit to India; although no date for the film release has been announced.
