Stewart Armstrong Copeland (born July 16, 1952) is an American musician and composer. He is best known for his work as the drummer of the Anglo-American rock band the Police from 1977 to 1986, and again from 2007 to 2008.
With scores and soundtracks as his main occupation, the famous drummer now became better known as a famous composer. Stewart had already been a productive songwriter before the Police had emerged, having released a few singles in 1978 and a follow-up album in 1980 under the pseudonym of Klark Kent .
