Before Landers, Frank Capra did a lot of air adventure films circa 1930. Landers' sometimes seem to come out of this same tradition (only with lower budgets). Landers would return to similar "escapism on the move" with the light-hearted train thriller "Easy Mark", an episode of "Maverick".
