But, overall, it's a pretty darn good school. If your kid makes an effort to make friends, joins some clubs, finds some folks with mutual interests (either on campus or off), they'll do just fine. Depending on what they'll be going to school for, it's hard to make a decidedly bad choice.

Carleton University is an English-language public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1942 as Carleton College, the institution originally operated as a private, non-denominational evening college to serve returning World War II veterans. [4]
I honestly think one of the best things about Carleton is it's small-town Minnesota location. I'll elaborate. Other SLACS like Swarthmore or Pomona have factors external to the school culture itself that draw students, like weather or proximity to a large city that encourage people to apply.
