The Knights of Columbus (K of C) is a global [1] Catholic fraternal service order founded by Blessed Michael J. McGivney on March 29, 1882. [2] [3] Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men. [4] It is led by Patrick E. Kelly, the order's 14th Supreme Knight. [4] [5] The organization is named after the explorer Christopher Columbus.
