Born to Jesse Gemstone and Amber Freeman, Gideon was the eldest of three sons. At some point in his life, he elected to leave the Gemstone compound and work in Hollywood as a stuntman. It was unknown how this played out as his family remarks they have not heard from him in a long time.

I love Eli’s backstory as a rebellious kid living a hardscrabble, brawling life and dabbling in crime before becoming a preacher. Gideon’s character is very similar. Unlike Eli, he grew up rich, but like Eli, he went through an extremely rebellious phase and also got involved with sleazy people.
Has anyone else noticed Gideon has been reading Eli’s autobiography throughout the season? One thing that always stuck with me is that Gideon is the clear successor in star power of Amiee-Leigh. Where everyone else tries to emulate her, Gideon has natural gifts.
