What it's about. The take. In 1994 a 13-year-old boy disappeared without a trace from his home in San Antonio, Texas. The Imposter is a really well constructed film that makes its unbelievable story work and keeps a consistent level of intrigue and anxiety throughout, even if in an ideal world, it should be building up to a finer payoff. 8/10.
I went in knowing nothing, and wow this was a great film. I loved that they didn't completely adhere to the documentary formula; the recreated scenes added a lot to the movie. As far as what I think about the family, I can't get rid of my suspicion that the boy somehow died by their hands.
