As Orlac’s sanity disintegrates, we’re left to speculate if he’s truly capable of carrying on Vasseur’s murderous legacy.

The Hands of Orlac (German: Orlacs Hände) is a 1924 Austrian silent film directed by Robert Wiene and starring Conrad Veidt, Alexandra Sorina and Fritz Kortner. It is based on the novel Les Mains d'Orlac by Maurice Renard .
The story follows noted concert pianist Paul Orlac (Veidt), who is involved in a train crash that robs him of his hands. Thanks to ground-breaking surgery, Orlac receives a new pair of hands but discovers they once belong to an executed killer.
