   We did a gentle 3.5 mile walk from parking up at Ty Mawr and then out to Pontcysyllte viaduct and back again the same way. Take your walking boots because the path does get a bit muddy in places if it's wet, but for a good part of the walk, the path is tarmac. Then we finished with a lovely picnic and bought some coffees and hot chocolate.

   Should I go to Ty Mawr?

   • I would recommend taking a trip to Ty Mawr, the walks are lovely and you can choose easier and harder walks, there are also plenty of benches and seating areas to take in the views, which are spectacular. The man made beach was also great to look at and take a dip. We had a great, cheap and fun day out
