- Unless you're a fan of the physical act of the slam dunk (of which there are plenty in this film), there's nothing to recommend in this artless redemption story. The plot has zero surprises, and, curiously, redemption isn't even a factor. The criminal charges that sent Michael to prison were false, so he never needed redeeming.

Classic film. One of the best sports movies I have seen. The basketball is exciting, adrenalin pumping and highly action packed. The supporting cast is excellent. All non-actors who can dunk well. The dialogues are classic, the story is engrossing and direction is good.

Mar 30, 2017 · SLAMMA JAMMA is an uplifting, positive movie with strong Christian faith and values. However, it’s a movie cast with basketball stars, so the movie’s cheesy lines and untrained actors take away from the story’s power. Also, the basketball contest shows every slam dunk competitor.
