Scottish Mussel is a 2015 comedy film, written, directed and produced by Talulah Riley that revolves around the life of a Glaswegian criminal, Ritchie ( Martin Compston ), who becomes interested in poaching freshwater pearl mussels from rivers in the Highlands of Scotland.
Written, directed, and co-starring Talulah Riley, Scottish Mussel establishes that Martin Compston has a good line in wry smiles and reasonable comic timing, that Ms Riley is multi-talented, and that Harry Enfield's Scottish accent is god-awful.

Feel-good comedy drama with a lot of well know faces, some of whom struggle with their Scottish accents and some who struggle with acting, like Talulah Riley and Joe Thomas. But a half decent watch if you're at a loose end.
