    Swimmer known for being the youngest American to go pro in the sport, doing so at the age of 14. He's set more than 75 age-group records and was ranked the 59th-best swimmer when he signed his first contract, more than 100 spots ahead of the next male his age.

    He started swimming when he was seven-years-old and his parents eventually built a pool in their backyard to allow him to train.

    His decision to go professional eliminated both his high school and college athletic eligibility and drew comparisons to athletes like Freddy Adu and Michelle Wie, who also went professional at a young age. He won a gold medal in the 4x100 meter medley relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

    His father, Peter, was a diver in the Navy and his mother, Tina, has acted as his agent. He has a younger sister named Michaela.

    The most obvious comparison has been to Olympian Michael Phelps, whose prodigious talents in his youth led to a professional contract at the age of 16.
