   How much does a Dell XPS 15 cost?

   • I purchased the XPS 15 in December 2017 from Dell's eBay store for $1,299. I opted for a model with a Core i7-7700HQ CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. Now, two years later, I can share my long-term impressions of the XPS 15, to give you an idea how of Dell's flagship laptop holds up over time.

   XPS 15 - how long should it last? I have had an XPS 15 for just over a year. It has had the screen replaced a couple of times under warranty, but now the system has failed altogether and I am told it needs a replacement motherboard at a cost of just over $800. Is that really the best I can expect for a $2,200 laptop?

   I would say XPS should last 3-4 years at least as it is Dell's premium line. Lattitude has the similar build quality. I own both XPS and Lattitude and would say they are about the same.
