WinDirStat is a port of KDirStat for Linux. It's free, lightweight, small (650kb installer), fast, portable (as a standalone .exe file), and works on multiple versions of Windows. Besides showing folders and percentages (for the entire disk or any subset of folders), it also displays an (optional) graphical usage map.
- File categories using space on the C: drive. The above section shows various types of files and how much space they are currently using on that drive. To see more information about a particular category, you can click on it.
- Apps & feature settings page. Each other category of data will bring you to different screens, depending on what you select. Selecting data categories such as Pictures, Videos, Music, or Documents will bring you to page a showing the total used space and then a button letting you open the folder.

It is extremely fast compared to other programs we tested. Scanning a 1 TB NVMe SSD took only 5 seconds, and a 2 TB (mostly full) mechanical hard drive only took 6.1 seconds.
