Mar 20, 2016 · Through a gate to the last slope up to the summit Trig point and was rewarded with magnificent views all around the forth estuary, the bridges, Dunfermline, the Ochil hills, Knock hill and also the Lomond hills. Retraced my steps back to the car. Well worth a visit for the views and the peace and quiet at the top!

  3. Hill of Beath is a distinctive small hill to the north east of Dunfermline. At 240m it is the highest point in an otherwise flat landscape. As such it affords fine views of the surrounding area. There are two well walked final approaches to the summit.

  4. There's a trig point on the grassy summit of the Hill of Beath - and often lovely wild flowers in summer. The view is surprisingly extensive for such a modest hill; the Forth Bridges are especially well seen, whilst the motorway - though closeby - doesn't intrude.
