Bournemouth University is a public university in Bournemouth, England, with its main campus situated in neighbouring Poole. The university was founded in 1992; however, the origins of its predecessor date back to the early 1900s.
Our modern history began in the early 1970s with the creation of the Bournemouth College of Technology and the construction of new buildings on the largest farm in Talbot Village – the area now known as our Talbot Campus.

Bournemouth University (BU) is located in the seaside town of Bournemouth, in Dorset, on England south coast. Its roots can be traced back to the early 20th century, with the establishment of the Bournemouth Municipal College, which became Bournemouth University in 1992.
