   Thoughts on The Departed, a great Best Picture winner from 13 years ago. Discussion. Just watched this brilliant Scorsese gangster tragedy while everyone's ranting and raving about the Oscars. It's a fast-paced film with lots of fast cuts that remind me of Hong Kong cinema and Oliver Stone's works.
