    The second creature we meet in the movie is just seconds old as we see it emerges from a silver egg in Newt's hand, right before Kowalski's eyes in the bank. We later learn that this is an Occamy hatchling.

    Another fantastic creature which pops up throughout the movie are house elves, a familiar part of the Harry Potter movies. In Fantastic Beasts elves can be seen working in the Magical Congress of the United States of America's headquarters and an elf barman serves up the giggle water from behind the bar in the speakeasy, The Blind Pig.

    Newton has a heard of Mooncalves basking in the moonlight on a hill in his suitcase, they can be shy and will only emerge from the burrows on a full moon. The Mooncalf has pale grey skin and large bulging eyes suited to low levels of light. Mooncalves will perform a mating ritual consisting of dance-like moves when exposed to moon light.

    Newt can bee seen bottle-feeding a young Marmite, a beast with a large tentacled, transparent body. It's like a cross between a dust mite and squid. Marmites have bioluminescent bodies which means they emit a natural light giving them a glowing appearance.

    The Erumpent is a huge African beast, Newt had a female of the species as part of his collection that escaped in New York, causing destruction in its wake. With Jacob Kowalski's help, Newt was able to recapture the beast in Central Park Zoo.

    A Demiguise was the last creature that Newton managed to recapture after his case was opened in New York. It's exceptionally hard to catch a Demiguise as they're invisible most of the time and have precognitive sight, the only way to catch them is to do something completely unpredictable.
