    • Alphonso’s The Original. ARCHER PARQUETTE, MANAGING EDITOR. My friends and I would sprint straight through heavy traffic just to get a slice of Alphonso’s “Cutlass Supreme” pizza.
    • Fixture Pizza Pub. BRIANNA SCHUBERT, ASSOCIATE DIGITAL EDITOR. When I moved into my apartment building in Walker’s Point, my partner and I asked a random guy in our elevator where he likes to get pizza in the area.
    • San Giorgio. CAROLE NICKSIN, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF AND PUBLISHER. Milwaukee has no shortage of great pizza. For wood-oven, Neapolitan-style pizza, my favorite is San Giorgio on Old World Third Street.
    • Maria’s (Again, Hopefully) ARCHER PARQUETTE, MANAGING EDITOR. If you had asked me this question a couple of years ago, I would have answered – without hesitation – Maria’s Pizza on Forest Home.

    • Maria’s. $13.50-$18.50 | 5025 W. FOREST HOME AVE. | 414- 543-4606. One of the things I love about these creations is that they don’t fit neatly into the pan.
    • Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. $12-$16. | 2920 S. KINNICKINNIC AVE. | 414-489-0765. Known more for coffee than pizza – though pizza-making has been part of the business plan since 2014 – Anodyne offers its pies at the Bay View location only because that’s where the handsome red-tiled, wood-fired oven, a Naples-made Stefano Ferrara, lives.
    • Zaffiro’s Pizza & Bar. Since 1954 Zaffiro’s Pizza & Bar has been serving some of the best pizza in Milwaukee out of a pretty small restaurant just off Brady Street on the city’s east side.
    • Lisa’s Pizzeria. Lisa’s Pizzeria is a family-owned pizza joint that has been serving up some of the best pizza on the east side since 1960. That kind of longevity in a competitive world like pizza making can only mean one thing – the pizza is truly that good.
    • Balistreri’s Italian-American Ristorante. Balistreri’s Italian-American Ristorante is one of two restaurants owned by the same family. The founder of the two restaurants has all sorts of history in the Milwaukee restaurant scene, having worked in several of the city’s most famous Italian-American restaurants throughout time.
