The Choir of New College is now internationally renowned, but even today their primarily role is to sing at chapel services, which form a gathering point for students, staff and fellows, and are also attended by members of the local community and visitors from around the world.
Choral Services. Choral services resume for Trinity Term on Friday 19 April with Evensong at 6.15 pm. Full details are given below. Evensong generally lasts for 45 minutes (slightly longer on Sundays when there is a sermon). Eucharist generally lasts for 55 minutes.
We live-stream Evensong on Sundays and special services, such as Cantata Vespers, or the Requiem for All Souls in Michaelmas Term, and the two Carol Services in late November and early December. Our weekly organ recitals are also live-streamed on Thursdays at 1.15pm.
