Located on the Long Beach Barrier Island, it is a suburb of the City of Long Beach, and is in the immediate metropolitan area. The population was 2,719 at the time of the 2020 census.
Great family beach! Apr 2018 • Family. Follow GPS to the corner and you have a boardwalk to the beach and water spout, but no facilities. Turn left and travel south 1/4 a mi,e and there is a large parking lot, restroom facilities, a grill with great fish tacos, and a pool! Oh, and a little shop with beach things like boogie boards, and ice cream.

Compare to Jones beach, this beach has a very very short walk from parking lot. On a good day it get crowded but so does Jones. If you have kids, this is a very good beach since you don't have to drag everything walking on sand for half a mile before you see water.
