Kingsbury (fn. 1) was a small parish, estimated in 1831 as 1,700 a., (fn. 2) which lay west of Edgware Road, about 6 miles from London. The river Brent formed its southern boundary with Willesden and it was separated from Harrow on the west by the Lydding brook and Honeypot Lane.
