Entry is free. Like other recently reopened museums and galleries, however, Kelvingrove asks visitors to book time slots in order to maintain COVID-19 restrictions on capacity. Free tickets can be booked in advance on the museum’s website.
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, now managed by Glasgow Museums, houses one of Europe’s great art collections. It is a purpose-built museum which opened in 1901. A significant part of the paintings collection comes from the bequest of Archibald McLellan.
