  4. I just watched this film, so a bit late to the game for sure. I was riveted from the get-go and absolutely loving it. Particularly as a woman and a fan of the genre, I always especially enjoy when filmmakers can make a female protagonist rounded and engaging and I felt that with this film 100%.

  8. This film is a great example of breaking down modern cultural barriers and stereotypes (there are several that do this well, such as The Farewell and Lion). I love it when a film's main character has a contrary opinion to what the "message" of the movie is, but gradually the character evolves to become an open-minded, honest, self-aware individual.
