That being said without knowing device specifics I've seen some cheap chinese phones include adb root which is a somewhat watered down root specific to adb (usually only for debug builds).

Go the manage internet email icon on the device then update my pin. Then I take my old phone start the device switch.

To perform a hard reset, remove the battery for a few seconds and then reinsert.
For a soft reset, press and hold the Alt, Right-Shift, and Backspace/Delete keys.
Open the battery cover on the back of the BlackBerry.
Remove the battery from the phone.
