- Performing a Hard Reset: Open the battery cover on the back of the BlackBerry. Remove the battery from the phone. You can perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry Z10 by pressing and holding the Power button on the top of the phone for about 10 seconds.

Whether you’re jump starting a frozen phone or restoring a handset to factory defaults before passing it on, sometimes you need reset your Blackberry to get it working again.
- Connect your BlackBerry to the computer using the BlackBerry sync cable.
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Software if it doesn’t open automatically.
- Open the Support Tools interface by clicking the question mark icon, hovering your mouse over "Support Resources" and selecting "Support Tools".
- Click “Reset to Factory Settings" and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your phone.
