  2. Jul 6, 2016 · You can turn this on and off in the control panel under programs and features, then in the left hand panel turn windows features on and off, scroll down to the SMB v1 and check the relevant box. You will need to restart the computer for it to take effect.

    • Boot from your created USB recovery drive that was created with the "Back up system files to the recovery drive" box checked.
    • Choose your keyboard layout.
    • Click/tap on Troubleshoot.
