May 22, 2024 · Using a 3.1 gen 2 usb c to usb c does indeed the switch to directly power and display from plugging into the monitor, assuming the monitor is powered by itself into the wall. This is actually a pretty ideal setup because you only need two cables and don't even need an hdmi cable or the dock.
5 days ago · The one I’ve seen mentioned a few times is to use a BMD Mini Converter to HDMI->SDI, then a SDI->HDMI in front of any HDMI splitters. No engineer has chimed in, but what seems to be the issue is the HDMI handshake, and with the SDI converters you eliminate that from the chain since SDI is a one-way protocol.
