Oct 25, 2022 · To perform a hard reset, remove the battery for a few seconds and then reinsert. For a soft reset, press and hold the Alt, Right-Shift, and Backspace/Delete keys. To restore your Blackberry to its original factory settings, go to Options > Security Settings > Security Wipe.
Occasionally, and particularly if the battery has completely run down, the application will not automatically reset and the battery will fail to charge when connected to the phone's charger. Performing a "Hard Reset" of the device will often correct this problem.

Apr 27, 2016 · Whether you’re jump starting a frozen phone or restoring a handset to factory defaults before passing it on, sometimes you need reset your Blackberry to get it working again. There are a number of simple ways to do this, from removing the phone’s battery to wiping its settings.
First, you need an autoloader. Download the corresponding one for your device here: BB10 Autoloaders. Turn off your device, plug it into your computer and run the autoloader. It'll do its job and you should be at the setup screen!
Remove and Reinstall Battery. This will perform a reset which will restore various settings to their original factory levels (including backlighting) and could alleviate the problem. The tutorial on removing and replacing the battery can be seen (here). Note: This will cause the phone to lose unsaved data.
