Jul 23, 2022 · ...made this somewhat thin plot a very good movie. I hate to point out that Joan Crawford, although beautiful, was too old for the part she played. Of course, Sidney Greenstreet played the sneering manipulative villan role like no one else could have. Not one of Curtiz' best movies but still worth watching.
