Apr 26, 2012 · I have family history in Bellshill. My Grandmother was born at 6 Wilson's Rows which I assume was the same place or nearby Wilson's Square. Her Parents were married at the same address 3 days earlier. The family had moved from Overtoun sometime after 1884. Her mother's (Janet Robertson previously Brown) second husband was Charles Kenmuir.
Born at Bellshill Maternity Hospital [3] and raised in East Kilbride, [4] McCoist attended Maxwellton Primary and Hunter High School. His high-school team coach and chemistry teacher was former Clyde and Scotland forward Archie Robertson , who was acknowledged by McCoist for his guidance and influence, [ 5 ] but who died in 1978 just as his protégé's career was taking off.
