André Cheron (born André Louis Duval; 24 August 1880 – 26 January 1952) was a French-born American character actor of the late silent and early sound film eras. During his 16-year career he appeared in over 100 films, usually in smaller roles, although with the occasional featured part.
André Chéron (September 25, 1895 – September 12, 1980) was a French chess player, endgame theorist, and a composer of endgame studies. He was named a FIDE International Master of Chess Composition in 1959, the first year the title was awarded.

Chéron a vécu en Suisse et fut champion de France en 1926, 1927 et 1929. Il brilla également à l'olympiade d'échecs de Londres, en 1927, où il faisait partie de l'équipe de France, ainsi qu'au tournoi de La Haye en 1928(championnat du monde amateur).
