Synopsis. In March, 1939, Mrs. Bromley, an English decorator, and her assistant, Jennifer Whittredge, travel through Poland in search of antiques. When they reach Warsaw, Jenny is left on her own while Mrs. Bromley haggles with an antique dealer.
