The heart of Lecce is where you’ll spend most of your time. Traffic is limited in the centre so it’s a pleasure to wander. I recommend staying within the historic centre if possible as it’s much more attractive than the modern part of town. That said, if you have a car it will be easier to find parking outside the centre (where traffic is restricted).
