Aug 22, 2023 · Normally, when you make overpayments, you can have the monthly payments recalculated or leave them as they are (which will reduce the term instead). Its normally a choice you make when you set up the overpayments. I switched to a new 5 year deal with Halifax earlier this year (May) that takes effect from 1st November.

If you "Request tax information" this will give you the numbers that you want to play with, but won't provide the tax certificate. Select "Request Tax Certificate" for that! Jul 16, 2020 · Yes. In 2020, you can pay off 10% of the remaining balance on 1/1/2020, and then in 2021, you can pay off 10% again (but of the remaining balance as of 1/1/2021). I'd suggest ringing the Halifax Travel Insurance Helpline and asking them.
