Wikipedia tells us it combines "traditional craft motifs with Machine Age imagery and materials". With it's use of rich colours and ornamentation, we get a sense of luxury and glamour.

Aug 8, 2010 · I remember hunts foundry just by the breedon bridge the foundry had two big steel chimney,s right by the railway line , smoke could be seen for mile,s around and smog in the autumn was particularly bad for stirchley and surounding areas i think as the early eighty's came upon us new regulations for emit ions came into force and forced the closure of the foundry .

The journey to the men's loo was particularly extraordinary, being a long subterranean journey along an originally tiled corridor with authentic period light fittings and brass hand rails.

Apr 12, 2006 · The second photo (AB4) I suggest is pre WW2, late 1930's or maybe early 40's. The buses suggest it to me. The Austin Reed cladding would be in line with the art deco trend, which did look nice. But it is pleasing to see it revert to something like its original appearance and is quite harmonious with its neighbour.
Apr 19, 2015 · Press mirror to the wall, mark holes on the plates, place mirror away from wall. Drill, plug and the fix mirror to wall. Best with two people. DO NOT try using hooks and wire when hanging. Or drill into your mirror. Good luck. Edited April 20, 2015 by liza D.
