    • Buttermilk Falls. Buttermilk Falls is one of the most scenic waterfalls in the state, and one you can actually walk behind. The falls are a popular spot with locals and tourists thanks to its proximity to New York City.
    • Enders Falls – Granby, CT. If you like hiking and live near the Litchfield Hills, Connecticut, then Enders Falls is a must-see. Located in the northwest corner of the state at Enders Brook, this hidden gem is a local favorite for many hikers.
    • Spruce Brook Falls. The waterfall is one of Connecticut’s best-kept secrets, tucked nicely inside of Naugatuck Valley. The towering trees and mossy rock scrambles give the trail the feel of a “high-end” hike that you’d expect in Vermont or New Hampshire.
    • Kent Falls. While most waterfall aficionados know about Kent Falls in Connecticut, it’s one of those hidden gems that gets overlooked by many New England travelers.
    • Falls Brook Falls, Hartland Connecticut, Hartford County. A stones throw from the Massachusetts border, enveloped deeply within the dense Tunxis forest, runs Falls Brook.
    • Carpenter Falls, Granby, Hartford County. The allotted time and space occupied by attempting to divulge all of the hidden gems within Mclean Game Refuge would require its own dedicated post.
    • Dividend Falls, Rocky Hill, Hartford County. If you told me that one of Connecticut’s most picturesque waterfalls could be found hiding smack dab in the middle of Rocky Hill, I’d ask you to please stop lying.
    • Burlington and Bunnell Falls, Burlington, Hartford County. Up near Nepaug Reservoir, (again, a place that’s an incredibly gorgeous natural setting to visit at any time of year) are a series of truly stunning waterfalls that are extremely easy to access.

    • Nonnewaug Falls, Woodbury, Litchfield County. One of my favorite waterfalls in CT! To me, this one feels like a little oasis. 🌿 You walk for a bit and then there’s a little steep dirt section to get down to the falls but once down there it feels very private.

    • Campbell Falls, Campbell Falls State Park, Norfolk, Litchfield County. This is another favorite! In any season. Feels like a perfect mini hike, this waterfall is away from traffic and busy streets so it truly feels like an escape and a secret in the woods.
    • Great Falls, Falls Village, Litchfield County. Listen carefully for the correct directions to this one! You can either Google “Great Falls, CT” and navigate that way or click on the trail linked above in the title just to navigate to the correct parking lot.
