Aug 30, 2005 · I fondly remember her and am saddened to hear about her death. I was also saddened to hear that she collapsed on the set of Dirty Dancing. Rest In Peace, Paula.

Paula Trueman collapsed and was taken to the local emergency room to be treated for dehydration. [40] Patrick Swayze also required a hospital visit; insisting on doing his own stunts, he repeatedly fell off the log during the "balancing" scene and injured his knee so badly he had to have fluid drained from the swelling.
Trueman died of natural causes in New York Hospital in 1994, aged 96. She was predeceased in 1976 by her husband, Harold Sterner, an architect, whom she married in 1936. [4]
