Jul 20, 2024 · Vessels on the register were required to wear, on the same staff, the plain Red Ensign above the Hong Kong Blue Ensign. It seems that the requirement was widely ignored, and a Red Ensign defaced with the badge from the Honk Kong Blue Ensign was flown instead.
