Jun 11, 2015 · Support.me is part of LogMeIn Rescue which is legitimate. However, LogMeIn is software to allow remote access to your computer, and the people who were trying to utilize support.me were scammers and you should not allow them access.

Jan 18, 2017 · My mom saw everything the guy was doing and I believe he only installed one thing, which was a remote desktop client called Anywhere Access or something, along with the Logmein123 bullcrap. I found it and removed it.
LogMeIn support is poor. LogMeIn now owns GoToMeeting. I had a support issue, but the only method for getting support is to view their FAQ's or call them on the telephone. There is no method for opening a case by web interface, email or chat. There's not even a method to leave a voicemail message.
Pros and Cons. LogMeIn Rescue allows for immediate remote access without needing the software pre-installed on the end user’s device. This is especially helpful for one-off support situations where time is critical, and there’s no opportunity to set up remote access ahead of time.
