There are definitely cases where that gamble pays off, but having one voice actor outshine another in the lead role can prove quite detrimental. Thankfully, in BioWare’s Mass Effect trilogy, the male (Mark Meer) and female (Jennifer Hale) versions of Commander Shepardwere both exceptionally played.
