Mar 31, 2021 · Five leaders from the community have been named trustees to the Wheeler Board of Trustees for terms beginning in July, 2021. Board President Alisia St. Florian ’86 announced the names after the vote by members in March. In addition, two current trustees have been named to officer roles.

As we begin the 2022-23 school year, we are pleased to announce three new members of the Wheeler Board of Trustees. Matt Coen ’88 arrived at Wheeler as a 2nd-grader, in 1976, when the school had just gone coed and basketball was played in Wheeler Hall.
Early history. In 1889, an art school for girls was established by Mary C. Wheeler, an artist and activist from Concord, Massachusetts. [3] In 1900, adding an academic college preparatory curriculum to her art instruction, Mary Wheeler accepted ten female students as boarders and officially founded The Mary C. Wheeler School.
History of Wheeler Primary School. The Wheeler Street Board Schools opened its doors to pupils on July 7 th 1902 and by the end of that year it had 169 pupils on roll. The buildings were designed by the local architect, B.S Jacobs, from Hull.
