Oct 11, 2019 · Maghull High School, which was given the second-lowest possible rating by Ofsted in April 2018, has suffered in the past with teaching quality, and pupils failing to make enough progress.
Maghull High School provides an aspirational and broad and balanced curriculum which prepares students for life in modern Britain. We enable students to become responsible, resilient, respectful, tolerant and active citizens who contribute positively to society, appreciate diversity and uphold British values.
Following on from this, students learn about the causes and consequences of the Norman invasion before considering the important events, issues and people in medieval Britain. In addition, students learn about Liverpool’s medieval history and this focus study looks at the original medieval city of Liverpool.
Due to poor academic scores, the city closed Erasmus Hall High School in 1994, turning the building into Erasmus Hall Educational Campus and using it as the location for five separate small schools.
With a new school hall, dining room, dedicated performing arts suite, two floors of classrooms and other facilities, the new building is certainly impressive. Alongside this, we have been carrying out refurbishment of some of our existing buildings to ensure that our students across the whole school have the best learning environment we can offer.
