1907-1961, Austrian actor and director, lived in exile in Britain from 1938, performed there in the cabaret Laterndl. Lived in exile in the U.S. from 1943, where he co-wrote the screenplay Der Bockerer with Ulrich Becher. Returned to Germany in 1946.
