S1.E5 ∙ Guns for a Queen. Mon, Oct 6, 1975. When a load of rifles is hijacked, Cable has Cash put out the word that he know an interested buyer: Jeff in disguise. The plan is complicated by the arrival of a girl from both their pasts, who, with her new husband, is seeking to buy the guns herself for a proposed revolution in Tahiti.
The series (based on a TV Movie that had starred Dennis Cole in McClure’s role) debuted in September 1975. Series creator Douglas Heyes had cut his teeth on Maverick . Barbary Coast struggled to gain a foothold opposite the #6 and #7 shows, Rhoda and Phyllis and was cancelled after just thirteen episodes in January 1976.
