It is here that the movie reveals its greatness. A lesser film would simply be a thriller in which the protagonists would desperately scheme to escape from the killers in their car.
A journalist duo and a paroled couple go on a road trip to visit serial killer sites, but the journalist suspects the parolee is a killer himself. The film follows their harrowing ordeal as they face violence, betrayal, and death along the way.
