He began his career as a visual artist and went on to pursue an education at the National Film School of Denmark. His debut feature, Winter Brothers, premiered in the main competition at the 2017 Locarno Film Festival.
This is Icelandic filmmaker Hlynur Pálmason’s Godland. Originally released in 2022, it appeared in the US this June. The film reveals Pálmason to be one of few working directors making genuinely sublime cinema.
